It is of prime importance to make our children familiar with Islam from an early age and to give them a proper Islamic education, otherwise environmental influences will distract and alienate them from the right path.

A Muslim child should be provided, a fresh and strong faith, a dynamic commitment, indelible sense of identity, a throbbing yearning and an urge to struggle, all rooted in Islam.

Alhamdulillah, we are blessed by the Almighty in providing an opportunity to bring up our children in an Islamic state, where our youngsters are exposed to a rather Islamic environment. The compulsory Islamic education at schools, the close vicinity of innumerable mosques and the beckoning of the prayers, definitely has a remarkable influence on them.

Although it is a fact that there is no dearth of Islamic material in the market, it is a pity that one does not find much for the children's use, in the form of periodicals, or magazines which are brief, interesting and understandable.

We have taken this humble step of offering our children an Islamic Magazine of their own 'THE JUNIOR MUSLIM'. It aims at two aspects. 'Learning about Islam' and 'practicing Islam'. Keeping the level of children in mind, the topics, language and illustrations are geared up for a thorough understanding and to withhold the interest of the child.

Although the simple language and the glossary provided will be sufficient for their understanding, it is quite necessary for parents themselves to personally take part in conveying the contents of the magazine to the children. It is an opportunity for parents and children to read and work together to enhance their religious knowIedge.

'The Junior Muslim' is the magazine which the Muslim children and parents have been looking for. It contains not only the basic frame work of Islamic teachings, but also stories of Prophets, duas to learn, quizzes, crosswords puzzles, interesting incidents and anecdotes, in attractive presentation to make reading easy and interesting  inviting letters from you to clear all doubts regarding any matter of Islam. (Answered by a reputed Scholar).

Many articles are in parts  which keep continuing in the latter issues to give a complete comprehensive idea to the inquisitive mind.

From the proceeds of the subscription alone, we have sent up a 'Trust', which helps those unfortunate Muslim students who pass out from the 10th level and 12th level in flying colours, but are unable to get into any professional course due to lack of funds. Since two years we have been able to, Alhamdullillah, secure seats for 4 students in vocational courses and one in MBBS ! Till they pass out from these courses, the responsibility of their fees is borne by us.

We urge the Muslim parents to help us reach this task by subscribing for the magazine, which shall be a constant source of knowledge to your young ones also. Order for extra copies through your subscription for your friends if they need.
